Addaya

For us, Addaya is one of the most beautiful parts of the island, aswell ashore or from sea.

The area round the formerly fishervillage offers a lot of very good possibilities to anchor with your yacht:
(1) the harbour, Puerto de Addaya
(2) the anchorage south of the harbour
(3) the anchorage Cala Molins
(4) the anchorage on the shallow area, behind the sandbar

Addaya offers a perfect all aroundshelter, in any condition.
It is most amazing and overwhelming to be moored south of the harbour, with open views to N and to the open sea, especially in a North force 10.....
You see the monsters rolling and think, they MUST come in, but they donīt! The big waves with the northstorms reach the cost and break into cristalgreen mountains with snowywhite caps and inside, on the anchorage, you are lying on a pond....all the undeeps in the entrance break the waves like a caribbean reef.

The formerly fishervillage Addaya is slowly growing, mainly in the part Na Macaret, but still has its own character. Environmentalists always try to force a stop for new building to protect nature, as it still is. Beside that, a rich Menorcin buys all free area around the harbour, to leave it orginally, he will never allow any buildings on his area!
