Approach The white houses are good landmarks. Coming from NW (Kos), take care of the reef with shallow patch (o.6m) south of the southwestern tip of Yali.
Danger Mandraki is ferryharbour and often used. The ferry does not normally anchor, but holds itself off with its prop. You surely can imagine the wash, it is causing!
Mooring alongside at the mole or stern-to/own anchor
Shelter With all northerlies more than 6 Bft., the harbour is dangerous and unusable. Better go to Yali . Shelter with S-winds
Facilities Provisions in the village nearby, tavernas. Daily ferries to Kos.

Mandraki is situated very idyllic on a rocky promontory and overviews the harbour in the east. You can take a bus to the volcano; the trip is even more exciting when taking a motorbike from Paloi.
